Terms of Use
These terms apply to Ordfeste at ordfeste.fi and through connected AI applications. Please read them before using the service.
Service provider: Aregon, Business ID 3596336-8
Contact: info@ordfeste.fi
Purpose of the service
Ordfeste helps you search and read Finnish legislation, case law and other legal sources, and create Word and PDF documents. You use it through a supported AI application, such as ChatGPT or Claude.
The AI application sends searches and document content to Ordfeste, which returns sources and creates documents. The AI application is governed by its provider’s own terms.
Ordfeste is not a public authority or law firm, and using it does not create a lawyer–client relationship. It supports your work but does not guarantee a legal outcome or replace professional advice where needed.
Checking sources and documents
Sources, search results, summaries and AI-generated text may contain errors or omissions. Sources or their latest versions may be missing. An absent search result does not mean that a rule or decision does not exist.
Check the original source, the applicable date and its relevance to your situation. Check each document’s facts, requests, reasoning, recipient, attachments, signatures and deadlines. A template does not guarantee acceptance by an authority or court.
You are responsible for checking documents, initiating proceedings and submitting documents to the correct recipient on time. Ordfeste does not do these for you. The service provider’s statutory responsibility for service defects remains.
Connecting your account and using the service
You need a supported AI application, Google or Microsoft sign-in, and permission for the application to access Ordfeste. Keep your account and application secure. You must have authority to act for an organisation.
Use the service lawfully. Do not access other users’ data, bypass permissions or safeguards, distribute malware or disrupt the service by overloading it.
Send only information needed for your matter that you are entitled to process and disclose. Avoid unnecessary personal identity codes, health information and other sensitive information. Handling other people’s information may also create obligations for you or your organisation.
Documents and download links
Documents are available to download for four hours after creation and are then deleted from the service. Download and save any files you need during that time.
Anyone with a download link can open the file while the link is valid. Share it only with people you want to give access to. Expiry does not delete downloaded files or copies kept by your AI application.
Content and rights of use
You retain ownership of the content you submit. You allow Ordfeste to process search questions and document content to carry out your requested searches and create, convert and deliver documents. Content is not used for model training, analytics, profiling or product development.
To maintain your account, we process your sign-in provider identifier and your name and email address, if provided. Account data and documents are stored in the European Union, where search questions are also processed for searches. We use service providers to help run Ordfeste. Backups are retained for seven days. Your AI application processes conversations under its own terms.
Technical logs are kept for 30 days. Routine logs do not contain question or document text, but error messages may contain excerpts of content you submit. Logs are not used for analytics or profiling.
You may use and edit the documents you receive. Ordfeste does not guarantee their uniqueness or copyright protection. Third-party materials remain subject to their own rights and terms of use. Rights in Ordfeste’s software and branding remain with their owners.
Fees and third-party services
The price, billing arrangements and subscription terms of a paid service are presented before you order. A paid subscription requires separate acceptance: connecting Ordfeste to an AI application alone does not start a subscription.
Your AI application or another third-party service may charge its own fees. Its provider is responsible for its service and charges under its own terms.
Availability and responsibility
Maintenance, faults and external services may cause interruptions. Report faults to info@ordfeste.fi so that we can investigate them.
The service provider’s liability is determined by law. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights, including rights to have a defect remedied, a price reduction, contract termination or compensation when the legal conditions are met.
Ending use and changes
You can stop using Ordfeste and remove its connection in your AI application’s settings. Removing the connection does not delete your account data. Request deletion of your account and personal data at info@ordfeste.fi. We complete deletion requests within 15 days.
We may restrict use to protect security, comply with the law or address a material breach of these terms. Restrictions must be proportionate to their reason and severity. We will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve the matter unless doing so would compromise security or breach the law.
We may change these terms and the service in response to changes in law, security needs or service operation. We will give advance notice of material changes as required by law. Rights you have already acquired remain. Changes to and termination of paid services are also governed by the subscription terms and mandatory law.
Governing law and disputes
Finnish law governs these terms. Consumers also retain the protection of mandatory laws in their country of residence where those laws apply.
First contact info@ordfeste.fi about any problem. In Finland, consumers can seek help from the Consumer Advisory Services and refer a matter to the Consumer Disputes Board within its jurisdiction. You may also bring the matter before a competent court.
